Ukraine has already fulfilled most of the requirements and standards of the IMF program, and some of them are even ahead of schedule.
The mission of the International Monetary Fund began work on the sixth revision of the program of cooperation with Ukraine. This was announced by People’s Deputy, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram on Monday, November 11.
According to him, Ukraine fulfilled most of the requirements and standards (“beacons”) of the program, and some of them were even ahead of schedule.
Zheleznyak believes that the main challenge for a successful revision remains the issue of tax law. Now, the corresponding law, which was promised to the international partners in September, awaits signing in 28 days.
Let’s recall that on October 23, Ukraine received $1.1 billion from the IMF as part of the previous, fifth revision of the EFF program for 2023-2027. Its total amount is $15.5 billion.
