Bitcoin reached a new all-time high amid the US elections, reaching $80,000.
The price of Bitcoin for the first time in history updated the all-time high, surpassing $80,000. This is confirmed by Coinmarketcap data on Sunday, November 10.
So, on November 10, the cryptocurrency grew by 4.3% to $79,771 and remained at around $79,000 at 14:05 in Singapore (9:00 Kyiv time).
Smaller tokens, notably Cardano and meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin, also rose.
Note that Bitcoin extended its seven-day gain to more than 16% amid the US presidential election.
We remind you that in January the United States took an important step towards legalizing Bitcoin. Industry heavyweights BlackRock, Invesco and Fidelity and smaller rivals including Valkyrie were allowed to start trading. After that, the price of the cryptocurrency began to rise rapidly.
Bitcoin reached its previous maximum in March 2024, when the price rose to $73,777.
Bitcoin also reportedly rose above $72,000 for the first time since June. This was facilitated by the influx of funds into special exchange-traded funds, as well as speculation about the possible outcome of the US election.
