The sanctioned Russian financier, ex-deputy and adviser to the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Ksenia Yudaeva, became the executive director of the International Monetary Fund for Russia and Syria. This was reported by Reuters news agency.
Her appointment to the IMF position took place on November 1. Moreover, Yudaeva’s name appeared on the list of directors on the IMF website.
The Executive Board is the main body of the IMF, where important decisions are made every day.
Executive Directors are elected by member countries or groups of countries.
