Iran, India, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan will soon join the supply of butter to Russia.
The aggressor country Russia was forced to start importing butter to the UAE and Turkey due to a record increase in prices. Rosselkhoznadzor reported this on Saturday, November 2.
So, 90 tons of butter has arrived from the Emirates.
“Before, butter was not supplied from the UAE to Russia,” the department’s press service said.
Meanwhile, 20 tons have been delivered from Turkey across the Black Sea. At the same time, Iran, India, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan will soon join the supplies.
In total, from the beginning of 2024 to October 29, 112.3 thousand tons of butter were imported into the Russian Federation from 11 countries, which is 9% more than a year ago.
Imports increased on the back of a significant increase in oil prices. According to Rosstat, since the beginning of the year (until October 28), prices for this product have increased by 25.7%.
We remind you that in Russia a constant high increase in prices has been recorded. Local media wrote that “Armageddon’s butter is growing” and may repeat last year’s story with eggs. Then in some regions of the Russian Federation they started selling eggs with a passport.
