The Japanese corporation Toyota lost its leadership in the number of new passenger cars sold in Ukraine in October.
In October, more than 5.8 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine. This is only 1% more than the same month in 2023, reports Ukravtoprom.
Compared to September, consumer activity in the car market increased by only 2%. The French company Renault has become the market leader for new passenger cars. In October, 775 new cars of this brand joined the Ukrainian car fleet.
Former market leader, Japanese Toyota, is in second place with 679 vehicles sold. The third result belongs to the Czech Skoda with 402 vehicles sold.
Also in the top five for October are BMW (397 units) and Volkswagen (363 units). Interestingly, the title of the best seller of the month was again given to the Renault Duster crossover, of which 749 cars were bought in October.
In total, since the beginning of the year, 58.8 thousand new passenger cars have been registered in Ukraine, which is 19% more than in the same period in 2023.
We remind you that since the beginning of the year, 215.6 thousand passenger cars (new and used) were imported into Ukraine. The number of these vehicles is 15% more than the same period in 2023.
