The company is engaged in building an evidence base, and the legal process itself will begin in the fall.

Rinat Akhmetov’s DTEK intends to seek compensation through the courts for damages to Ukrainian infrastructure as a result of the Russian aggression. This was announced by DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko in an interview with Forbes.

“We are actively cooperating with the leadership of Ukraine. The legislative framework is currently underway so that these processes can be launched. Our goal is not to sue to sue. We want to win in court, receive funds and invest in them in the restoration of businesses and infrastructure in Ukraine, “he said.

The resulting compensation will be used to restore the destroyed infrastructure.

Right now, the company is engaged in building an evidence base, and more active legal action will begin in the fall.

It will be recalled that last week Akhmetov filed a lawsuit against Russia in the European Court of Human Rights. The losses of SCM businesses as a result of the actions of the Russian Federation are estimated at $ 20 billion.
