The German company commented on the statement of the Russians about future attacks and noted that its production is protected.
The German concern Rheinmetall said that the production of weapons is protected. Thus, its representatives responded to Russian threats that a new military plant in Ukraine could be the target of its attacks. It was reported by Voice of America.
Rheinmetall says this is not the first threat from the Kremlin, and that their facilities in Ukraine are well protected.
The company announced in July 2024 that it plans to open four military factories in Ukraine.
The first plant should produce a batch of Lynx infantry fighting vehicles by the end of the year. Ten cars will be delivered first. The plant will also provide maintenance services, supporting both infantry and armored units.
Rheinmetall’s second plant should open in the near future, said the head of the German concern Armin Papperger.
Rheinmetall plans to open a gunpowder plant and a tank ammunition plant in Ukraine. In addition, it is planned to establish the production of air defense systems.
As you know, the first plant of the German defense concern Rheinmetall has already started work in Ukraine. They plan to launch a second one soon. There should be a total of four such factories.
