The World Bank expects that by the end of 2024, the Ukrainian economy will grow by 3.2%. Compared to the beginning of the year, the forecast has not changed. This was stated in the bank’s press release, published on Thursday, October 17.
According to the forecast of the World Bank, the GDP growth of Ukraine at the end of 2025 will be 2%, and in 2026 – 7%.
Experts explain that the likely economic slowdown in Ukraine next year will be caused by huge losses from the Russian invasion and significant power outages.
We remind you that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development kept its forecast for Ukraine’s GDP growth in 2024 at 3%, but worsened it for 2025 from 6% to 4.7%.
Ukraine’s economic growth accelerated in late summer. In total, for eight months of this year it is also more than the same period last year. And this despite the war.
