The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine rose to UAH 41.50, and the euro exchange rate fell to UAH 45.50.
The hryvnia exchange rate continued its decline against the dollar on the cash market after a two-day halt. It was reported by RBC-Ukraine in reference to tracking data on Wednesday, October 17.
In the morning, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine rose by 5 kopecks, to 41.50 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 5 kopecks, to 45.50 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 41.00 UAH, and euros for 44.80 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.19 – 41.21 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – still the same, compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank increased the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate on Wednesday at the level of UAH 41.2139 (+0.0176 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 44.9232 UAH (-0.0343 UAH).
Earlier it became known that the NBU will set the hryvnia exchange rate in a new way. The regulator presented a plan for moving to a – daily – basket of currencies to establish the official exchange rate.
It was also reported that in the past week the National Bank sold a record amount of money.
