The Cabinet of Ministers decided to transfer the entire property complex of a state self-supporting foreign trade enterprise to the management of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Spetstechnoexport. It was reported to the Ministry of Defense.
The decision came after the audit team encountered “significant obstacles” during its internal audit, including limited access to documents and accounting systems.
“This is the first attempt to audit Spetstechnoexport activities of the Ministry of Defense in the past two years, since the transfer of the enterprise in 2022 from Ukroboronprom to the management of the Ministry of Defense. The audit is currently ongoing, and a The final assessment of the company’s activities can be given after its completion,” the department notes.
The ministry added that as part of further reforms, it is planned to liquidate specialized import companies and transfer their functions to the Defense Procurement Agency to avoid duplication and increase the efficiency of defense processes.
