The regulator lowered the official dollar exchange rate, although in the interbank market the American currency rose in price by 3 kopecks – 41.15-41.18 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine strengthened the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar and euro. This trend continues for the second day in a row, according to data on the regulator’s website on Friday, October 4.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate on Monday was set at UAH 41.1859 (-0.0343 UAH). The euro exchange rate will be UAH 45.4322 (-0.0914 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency added 3 kopecks to the price at 41.15-41.18 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate decreased by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.45.
Earlier it became known that the NBU will set the hryvnia exchange rate in a new way. The regulator presented a plan for moving to a – daily – basket of currencies to establish the official exchange rate.
It was also reported that in September the National Bank increased sales of foreign currency by almost 20% in the interbank market – up to $3.2 billion.
