Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Jacek Tomczak emphasized that in 2022 exports will reach 55%, and in 2023 they will add another 16%.
Poland recorded a significant increase in exports of Polish products to third country markets, focusing on the rapid growth of exports to Ukraine over the past two years. This was stated by Poland’s Deputy Minister of Development and Technology Jacek Tomczak during the Business Forum in Warsaw, reports Wnp.pl.
The official noted that in 2023, Poland was one of 11 EU countries that recorded export growth, while the EU average at that time was negative and reached -2.5%.
“In this ranking, we have overtaken all the largest exporters in the EU. Even the war in Ukraine did not stop the growth of Polish exports. In the case of Ukraine, we are dealing with a growth spurt (export – ed .) .In 2022 it reached 55%, and in 2023 “I added another 16% this year,” the official said.
“Poland can also boast a significant increase in exports to countries such as the USA, Turkey, Mexico, India, UAE, Kazakhstan and Singapore. The increase in exports in 2023 will be more than 30%. The share of exports in Polish GDP in 2023 will be almost 58% and higher than in Germany or France,” added Tomczak.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, threatened to “not let Ukraine into the EU” due to differences of opinion on the Volyn tragedy.
