The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine decreased to 41.50 hryvnia, while the euro exchange rate remained stable at 46.45 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate slightly strengthened against the dollar at exchange offices at the beginning of the new month. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Tuesday, October 1.
Thus, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by 5 kopecks – to 41.50 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate remained stable and did not change – 46.45 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 41.00 Hryvnia, and euros for 45.75 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.12-41.17 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank increased the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate after falling for three days in a row – UAH 41.2199 (+0.0535 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 46.1539 UAH (+0.1998 UAH).
Let’s recall that in September the National Bank increased the sale of foreign currency by almost 20% in the interbank market – up to $3.2 billion.
Also last month, the NBU left the discount rate unchanged at 13% per annum for the second time in a row.
