In Ukraine, the cost of building materials will increase if Ukrzaliznytsia tariffs for freight transportation will increase. The president of the All-Ukrainian Union of Construction Materials Manufacturers, Konstantin Saliy, said this at a press conference on the tariff policy of Uzbekistan.
According to him, he often hears requests from journalists if construction materials are discounted during the restoration, and if the industry will support Ukrainians.

We have now reached the point where when our manufacturers build defense structures, they often decide to transport the necessary materials by road. Saliy emphasized that the generation of money and goods, from transportation where Ukrzaliznytsia can get money is cut. And if mineral producers, most of which will go to the restoration of Ukraine, go bankrupt and close their factories, producers from other countries will come to our market with high prices.
“Therefore, if the leadership of the government, the new head of the ministry, pays attention to the actions of their subordinates or those involved in the administration of the structures, they can give a good concession to the manufacturers,” said the president of All-Ukrainian Union of Manufacturers of Construction Materials.
We remind you that at Ukrzaliznytsia said that they earned more than 3 billion Hryvnia in six months, but in July and August the company faced a loss in the range of 600-700 million Hryvnia per month. Therefore, Ukrzaliznytsia decided to initiate a revision of tariffs for cargo transportation.
Earlier, the Federation of Transport Employers of Ukraine appealed to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on tariffs Ukrzaliznytsia. They believe that by optimizing UZ costs, it is possible to reduce freight tariffs by 20% of the current level.
