The fee will be charged from both personal and corporate accounts. This happens once a year.

From October 7, the American payment system PayPal will introduce a commission for servicing inactive accounts of clients from Russia in the amount of 3,500 rubles. The PayPal press service reported this on Thursday, September 19.

“A fee will be imposed for your PayPal account if your account continues to maintain a balance in any currency. The fee will apply to both personal and business accounts. Accounts with a positive balance that are inactive within of 12 months will be billed once per year,” the report said.

If the account has less than 3,500 rubles, the entire amount remaining on it will be debited.

An inactive account means that the client is not logged into his account and has not used it to withdraw funds.

We remind you that in March 2022, PayPal announced the suspension of work in Russia. The payment system also advised users to withdraw funds from their wallets due to possible further service problems.
