Today, greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine are sold at the highest prices for at least the last seven years.
Greenhouse plants in Ukraine this week raised the selling prices of cucumbers by an average of 35%. This was reported by the analysts of the EastFruit project.
This week, Ukrainian greenhouse plants are ready to ship cucumbers at a price of 45-60 hryvnia/kg, which is on average 35% more expensive than at the end of the last working week.
It is noted that greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine are sold at the highest prices for at least the last seven years.
This is due to the relatively limited supply of cucumbers in the market, as open-soil products are almost no longer available for sale. In addition, the samples of these products in the greenhouse plants also decreased dramatically due to the decrease of the average daily temperature.
On average, cucumbers on Ukrainian farms are twice as expensive as a year ago.
Let us remind you that in Ukraine there is a drop in prices for fresh vegetable crops and eggs. At the same time, sugar traditionally becomes more expensive in the summer.
