Ukrainian farmers started the autumn sowing. 484.1 thousand hectares have been sown. Farmers from Vinnytsia, Lviv and Bukovina began sowing winter grain crops. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported this on Tuesday, September 3.
A total of 37.9 thousand hectares were sown. Agricultural producers in eight regions sow winter rapeseed on 446.2 thousand hectares.
In particular, it is sown:

winter wheat – 27.7 thousand hectares;

winter barley – 2.2 thousand hectares;

winter rye – 8 thousand hectares;

winter rapeseed – 446.2 thousand hectares.
It was noted that farmers in the Volyn and Ternopil regions have finished sowing winter rapeseed.
It was earlier reported that farmers are predicting lower yields due to a dry May. After some time, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy improved the forecast for the grain harvest. The forecast describes a grain harvest of about 56 million tons. Of these, wheat – 21 million tons.
