The United States Treasury and State Departments have initiated a new round of sanctions targeting nearly 400 individuals and entities both in Russia and abroad, including in Asia and Europe. This was reported by the press service of the American Ministry of Finance.
The sanctions include the technological and financial sectors of the Russian Federation, as well as large Russian metallurgical and mining companies belonging to the “strategic metallurgical industry.”
In particular, restrictions were introduced in a number of enterprises of the metallurgical giant Evraz, controlled by Roman Abramovich – the Nizhny Tagil Iron and Steel Works (NTMK), the United West Siberian Metallurgical Plant, the Vanady Tula enterprise, Evraz Market and Evrazholding Finance.
Sanctions were also imposed against some Russian mines.
In addition, sanctions include Norilsk Nickel enterprises of Vladimir Potanin: Norilsk Avia, Norilsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant named. AP Zavenyagina, Norilsk Nickel Sfera and Norilsk Nickel Sputnik, engaged in IT development and operational activities in the field of digitalization.
