State Bank of Kyrgyzstan Aiyl Bank announced on August 22 the suspension of transfers from Russian cards and accounts of Sberbank clients for an indefinite period. The bank’s press service reported this on Thursday, August 22.
Transfers from the Sber application to cards and accounts of Aiyl Bank clients have been disabled since August 22.
The bank did not disclose the reason for the decision.
At the same time, transfers through the Zolotaya Korona and AstraSend systems will continue to work as usual.
Previously, Kyrgyz MBank, the fourth largest in terms of assets in the country, announced on August 19 that it would stop all money transfers to Russian banks.
Let’s recall that one of the largest state-owned banks in China, the Bank of China, stopped cooperating with the Moscow Exchange after it was subjected to US sanctions.
The head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andrey Pyshny, said that the new US sanctions dealt a heavy blow to Russia’s financial infrastructure.
