The harvest is coming to an end in Ukraine. Agrarians of Bukovina, Vinnytsia region, Kiev region, Poltava region, Odessa region, Kherson region, Kirovograd region and Cherkasy region completed harvesting of early grains and leguminous crops. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported this on Friday, August 9.
In total, 27.3 million tons of grain and more than 3.3 million tons of oilseeds have been harvested. The new crop was threshed in an area of more than 7,741.4 thousand hectares, 30,640.2 thousand tons were threshed.

wheat – 20,935.2 thousand tons were threshed from an area of 4,732.7 thousand hectares or 97%;

barley – 5,203.6 million tons were threshed from 1,367.4 thousand hectares – 98%;

peas – 457.7 thousand tons were threshed from an area of 207.6 thousand hectares – 99%;

rapeseed – 3,318 thousand tons of seeds were threshed from 1,220.4 thousand hectares – 99%.
It was noted that the farmers of the Odessa region are leading in grain harvesting – 1072.9 thousand hectares were threshed there.
Khmelnitsky region leads in terms of productivity with an indicator of 65.1 c/ha.
Agrarians of Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Kharkov and Kherson regions began to collect buckwheat and millet.
Let us remind you that earlier farmers reduced their harvest estimates in Ukraine this year due to the drought in July.
It has also been reported that due to the abnormal heat in Ukraine, the yield of early crops will be reduced by 5%, and late crops may lose up to 15%. These data were announced by Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky.
