The NBU strengthened the Hryvnia: official rate

On August 7, the rate officially set by the regulator was 41.03 UAH/USD. and 44.79 UAH/EUR respectively.

The National Bank of Ukraine again raised the official hryvnia exchange rate by another 5 kopecks. – up to 40.98 UAH/USD This is confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Wednesday, August 7.

On Thursday, August 8, the regulator set the official dollar exchange rate at 40.98 hryvnia per dollar. In the cash market, the exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks – 41.31 hryvnia per dollar.

While the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro on August 8 will be 44.76.

On August 7, the rate officially set by the regulator was 41.03 UAH/USD. and 44.79 UAH/EUR respectively.

Remind us that in July, Ukrainians bought a record amount of cash currency for 12 years – $2.775 billion. Net purchases were $1.117 billion.

It was also reported that over the past week the structural deficit of foreign currency decreased in the interbank market – the NBU sold $784.63 million. This is 17.4% lower than last week.
