Earlier in the interbank market, the rate decreased by 12 kopecks to 41.14-41.16 UAH/dollar compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank of Ukraine set the official hryvnia exchange rate at 41.1966 UAH/$ on August 6, 2024. The Ministry of Finance announced this on Tuesday, August 6.
So, against the previous banking day, the regulator increased the hryvnia exchange rate by 2 kopecks.
At the same time, the NBU set the official exchange rate of the euro at UAH 45.14 on August 6 (since August 5 it was set at UAH 44.64). The European currency rose by 53 kopecks.

US dollar – 41.00 – 41.45 UAH (rate on August 5 – 41.05 – 41.55 UAH);

euro – 44.75 – 45.45 UAH (rate on August 5 – 44.50 – 45.20 UAH).
We remind you that in July, Ukrainians bought a record amount of cash currency for 12 years – $2.775 billion. Net purchases were $1.117 billion.
It was also reported that over the past week the structural deficit of foreign currency decreased in the interbank market – the NBU sold $784.63 million. This is 17.4% lower than last week.
