The Ministry of Health (MOH) has approved the regulations on the Council for the Restoration of Okhmatdet, which should ensure public control over all processes of the hospital’s restoration.
In particular, the Rada will monitor compliance with transparency and integrity in the selection of a contractor to carry out ongoing repairs and interior decoration of the building of the modern medical and diagnostic complex of the hospital.
The Council will consist of 15 people, and its composition will be approved in two stages. During the first stage, the following representatives will enter the Rada:
- benefactors who made the largest donations and the organizers of the collection (six people);
- Ministry of Health (one person);
- “Okhmatdet” (one person).
During the second stage, seven representatives of public associations and charitable organizations working in the areas of corruption prevention, patient rights protection and healthcare development will be selected.
They will be selected by members of the Restoration Council based on the review of applications and rating voting.
The Ministry of Health will publish an announcement about accepting applications on its official website.
Representatives of public or charitable organizations to be included in the composition must have at least three years of experience in at least one of the following areas of work – preventing corruption, protecting patients’ rights, developing the healthcare sector, restoring damaged medical infrastructure, or in the field of architecture and urban planning, the department said in a statement.
Let us recall that on July 8, Russian Nazis destroyed one of the buildings of the largest children’s clinic in Ukraine.
