The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine increased to 41.50 hryvnia, while the euro exchange rate remained at 45.00 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to decline against the dollar at exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Friday, August 2.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.50, while the euro exchange rate remained at UAH 45.00.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 41.00 UAH, and euros for 44.30 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.18-41.22 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 4 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank increased the dollar exchange rate against the Hryvnia after eight days of decline – 41.139 (+0.1327 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 44.4013 UAH (-0.0003 UAH).
Remind us that in July, Ukrainians bought a record amount of cash currency for 12 years – $2.775 billion. Net purchases were $1.117 billion.
It was also reported that over the past week the structural deficit of foreign currency decreased in the interbank market – the NBU sold $784.63 million. This is 17.4% lower than last week.
