The bill proposed by the Ministry of Finance provides funding of 500 billion hryvnias in 2024 for the security and defense sector. Of these, 120 billion UAH are proposed to be financed through tax measures, the rest – through internal borrowing, which exceeds the current revenues of the state budget, including through the shadow.
“Now this step has forced all other sources for increasing funding for the Defense Forces we have exhausted the proposals from all interested parties and are ready to ask for a compromise on the design of the measures on tax The decision must be made before September,” he wrote to Marchenko.
Let us remind you that the budget deficit of Ukraine is 500 billion Hryvnia. If the Verkhovna Rada does not support the government’s tax package, problems with paying the military may arise in September.
