The exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and the euro dropped significantly on the cash market at the beginning of the new month. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Wednesday, August 1.

So, the average dollar selling rate in Ukraine increased by 15 kopecks to UAH 41.45, the euro exchange rate also increased by 15 kopecks to UAH 45.00.
Today, exchange offices buy a dollar for an average of 40.95 UAH, and a euro for 44.30 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.10-41.14 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 8 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The day before, the National Bank reduced the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate for the eighth banking day – UAH 41.0063 (-0.0228 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 44.4016 UAH (-0.0165 UAH).
Let us remind you that last week the structural deficit of foreign currency was reduced in the interbank market – the NBU sold $784.63 million. This is 17.4% lower than last week.
Also, in the past week, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia strengthened against the dollar by 40 kopecks – to UAH 41.09.
