In the near future, almost half of the US aid will be transferred to the Ukrainian budget.
By the end of October, Ukraine will receive all the funds allocated by the United States this spring. This was announced by Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova during a telethon on Friday, July 26.
“$60 billion has been allocated (the amount of the US aid package – ed.), of which $7.9 billion is direct budget aid In the near future we will see most of it, almost half, transferred to the budget of Ukraine,” – said he.
According to Markarova, Ukraine expects to receive the remaining funds by the end of October.
“That is, by the end of October, all funds from the budget aid will be received and used by Ukraine,” added the ambassador.
Let’s recall that in April, US President Joe Biden approved additional funding for national security needs, which contained more than $60 billion in support of Ukraine.
Recently, the ambassadors of the European Union countries approved a tranche of Ukraine for 4.2 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility program.
