Currently, CRH owns three cement plants in Ukraine and continues to grow its assets.
The initial conditions became known under which the international CRH group will acquire two cement plants of the Italian company Buzzi in Ukraine. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine in connection with the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) on Friday, July 26.
It is implied that we are talking about factories Volyn-cement And Jugcementwhich is owned by Buzzi through a subsidiary Dickerhoff cement in Ukraine. The investor submitted an application to purchase these two businesses in September 2023.
The previous day, AMCU published the conditions proposed by the investor for the acquisition of factories aimed at protecting the interests of consumers.
In particular, within nine months after the acquisition of enterprises, CRH must transfer 25-28% of the shares of PrJSC Dickerhoff cement in Ukraine third party. The company also undertakes to inform the state regulator about the transfer of a part of the assets, the amount of cement produced, its supply in the market, etc.
CRH maintains the production capacity of both enterprises, and also ensures equal market conditions and prices for buyers of building materials. In addition, the company is also committed to investing in factories, modernizing production, and preserving jobs by regularly improving working conditions for employees.
The previous day, the Antimonopoly Committee approved the sale of the lifecell operator to the French company DVL Telecom. It is a subsidiary of the investment company NJJ Capital, owned by billionaire Xavier Niel.
