The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala said that this year the Czech Republic will allocate 500 million crowns (more than $21 million) to humanitarian support, support for development programs and economic assistance to Ukraine. He said this in an interview Ukrinform.
“In the first six months of this year, about half of this amount has already been spent by Czech companies, for example, water treatment plants and equipment for surgical rooms or rehabilitation centers in the Dnepropetrovsk region ,” he says.
Fiala added that last year the same amount, 500 million crowns, was allocated for projects within the framework of humanitarian, economic aid and for the development of Ukraine. Within its framework, the Czech Republic contributed to the demining of agricultural areas in the regions of Kharkov, Kherson and Sumy.
Also, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic said that the company GENTEC from Brno, which works in the field of supply of energy technologies, in particular cogeneration units, won international tenders and supplied 30 cogeneration unit in Ukraine worth more than 400 million crowns (about $17 million).
According to him, in general, Czech companies have supported Ukraine since the beginning of the entire Russian invasion. Already in the first year they began to contact new partners and travel to Ukraine on business missions. More and more Czech companies are participating in the restoration of Ukraine, also thanks to government support. They participate in competitions for government contracts and receive contracts thanks to their expertise.
