The German concern Rheinmetall has officially received orders for the construction of an ammunition plant in Ukraine.

The order from the Ukrainian government includes full technical equipment – up to commissioning. In the near future, construction equipment and other necessary resources will be delivered to Ukraine.
Production of ammunition is scheduled to begin within 24 months. Rheinmetall and its Ukrainian partner will be jointly responsible for operating the plant.
The implementation will begin in the short term, the company’s press service reports.
We put our words into action and together with our partner we will establish a Ukrainian ammunition center. The order underlines the trust in Rheinmetal’s expertise and production capabilities, – noted the company’s CEO Armin Papperger, adding that the order covers the complete technical equipment of the plant before commissioning, and the cost of the plant will vary “in the range of three-digit millions of euros.
The necessary infrastructure is currently being prepared in Ukraine.
