The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine decreased to 41.75 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased to 45.50 hryvnia.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia is growing for the second day in a row against the dollar and the euro in exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Wednesday, July 24.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by another 10 kopecks to 41.75 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate immediately fell by 20 kopecks to 45.50 Hryvnia.
Today, exchangers buy the dollar at an average of 41.15 UAH, and the euro at 44.80 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.30-41.35 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 7 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Meanwhile, the National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia for the second day in a row after it reached a record high of UAH 41.2316 (-0.1053 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 44.7693 UAH (-0.2259 UAH).
As you know, recently the dollar exchange rate regularly updated its historical record. Overall, in July the official exchange rate of the Hryvnia fell by 2.6% or UAH 1.04. From the beginning of 2024, the dollar at the official exchange rate has become more expensive by 9.2% or 3.49 UAH.
Last Thursday, the NBU said that further growth of the dollar threatens price stability. Therefore, the regulator is ready to take the necessary steps to ensure the stability of the foreign exchange market.
At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10% to 45 UAH/dollar. At the same time, the budget for 2024 includes an average exchange rate of 40.7 UAH/dollar and 42.1 UAH/dollar in December.
