Half of the first grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine. In total, this year’s harvest is expected to reach 27 million tons. This was announced by Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky in a telethon on Tuesday, July 23.

“There are specific adjustments by region – in the southeastern regions, due to the heat, the yield is slightly reduced, and in the western regions – more than expected. The results for early grain crops correspond to forecast, we thank the farmers for their work, “said Vysotsky.
According to preliminary forecasts, this year the potential export of grain crops is estimated at 40-43 million tons.
We report that farmers from all regions of Ukraine are harvesting early grain crops. In total, 15.7 million tons of new crops have been harvested from 4.403 million hectares.
It is reported that farmers are predicting a lower harvest due to the dry May. After some time, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy improved the forecast for the grain harvest. The forecast describes a grain harvest of about 56 million tons. Of these, wheat – 21 million tons.
