Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment have repeatedly contacted various government bodies and services to solve the problem of data closure in defense industry enterprises, but so far the issue has not been resolved.
Open access to data about defense enterprises can lead to their physical destruction. Also, it will not promote the activities of Western companies in Ukraine, because investing in open locations is very risky. This view was expressed by the General Director of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles LLC Vladislav Belbas in an interview for Public.News.
“The closure of data on defense industry enterprises is a very complex issue that requires an integrated approach. We, as a democracy, have relatively open reporting, and it is really important that we understand that the closure of register may lead to a reduction in public control over the processes taking place in the defense industry, but the physical destruction of defense enterprises will have extremely negative consequences for the front,” said Belbas.
According to him, Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment have repeatedly contacted various government bodies and services to solve the problem of data closure in defense sector enterprises, but so far the issue has not been resolved.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian armored vehicles have created dozens of secret sites across the country where they manufacture various weapons. During two years of a full-scale war in the Russian Federation, the company increased production tenfold.
Also, Ukrainian armored vehicles announced signs of sabotage against the defense industry, which could lead to a halt in the production of equipment and ammunition.
