The agreements were signed on July 18 by the Chairman of the Board Ukrainergo Vladimir Kudritsky and head of the KfW representative office in Ukraine Lorenz Gessner. Funding will go to support the project Reconstruction and rehabilitation of the electricity transmission infrastructure of Ukraine II.
“The project, in particular, provides for the reconstruction, repair, rehabilitation and replacement of destroyed and/or damaged parts of the Ukrainian electricity transmission infrastructure, equipment, construction of new substations and power lines using innovative and economical technologies, as well as measures for the physical protection of electrical infrastructure elements, – said the message.
The Ministry of Energy noted that the signed agreement is one of the first signed under the UIF program and is a significant step towards the reconstruction of the Ukrainian electricity transmission system.
