The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased to 41.95 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate increased to 45.90 Hryvnia.
Dollar and euro rates rose against the hryvnia in exchange offices on Friday, July 19. But these rates have noticeably decreased, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing market monitoring data.
So, the average dollar selling rate in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks to 41.95 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate also increased by 5 kopecks to 45.90 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 41.20 UAH, and euros for 45.00 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.62-41.65 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 18 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia after another historical high at the level of UAH 41.422 (-0.0407 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 45.2618 UAH (-0.0839 UAH).
As you know, the growth of the dollar has accelerated in recent weeks. The NBU daily increases the official rate to a new historical maximum. Since the beginning of the year, the exchange rate has increased by 9.2% or 3.5 UAH.
The day before Thursday, the NBU said that the increase in the dollar’s exchange rate threatens price stability. Therefore, the regulator is ready to take the necessary steps to ensure the stability of the foreign exchange market.
At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10% to 45 UAH/dollar. At the same time, the budget for 2024 includes an average exchange rate of 40.7 UAH/dollar and 42.1 UAH/dollar for December.
