A power unit at one of the nuclear power plants in Ukraine is connected to the network after scheduled maintenance. Energoatom reported this on Wednesday, July 17.
“Energoatom connected the next power unit to the network ahead of schedule – after nuclear fuel reloading and scheduled equipment repairs,” the statement said.
It was noted that the return of the thousand-ton power unit to operation will significantly strengthen the energy system.
“Due to the difficult situation in the energy sector, the company’s specialists are making every effort to promptly perform the scheduled maintenance while ensuring the required quality of work,” Energoatom assured.
It was also reported that all other nuclear power units located in the territory controlled by Ukraine are operating according to plan.

In the past, energy experts predicted that July would be the most difficult period for the Ukrainian energy system. It is at this time that nuclear power plants undergo scheduled maintenance.
In this regard, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced that the duration of the outages will soon be reduced.
