The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine remained at UAH 41.15, the euro exchange rate increased to almost 45 hryvnia.
At the beginning of the new working week, the hryvnia is stable against the dollar in the cash market, but is becoming cheaper against the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Monday, July 15.
So, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine did not change – 41.15 UAH, the euro exchange rate increased by 15 kopecks to 44.95 UAH.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 40.65 hryvnia, and euros for 44.25 hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 40.88-40.93 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 10 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
On Friday, the National Bank raised the dollar-hryvnia exchange rate to a historic high. The dollar exceeded the 41 hryvnia mark for the first time – 41.0434 UAH (+0.1677 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 44.686 UAH (+0.3042 UAH). This is also a new record.
We remind you that last week the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency by 16% to $532 million. In total, since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold $15.4 billion in the interbank market.
As you know, the Cabinet of Ministers predicts a further increase in the dollar exchange rate. According to the Budget Declaration, in 2025 the average exchange rate will increase by 10% to 45 UAH/dollar. At the same time, the budget for 2024 includes an average exchange rate of 40.7 UAH/dollar and 42.1 UAH/dollar in December.
It was also reported that the cash dollar exchange rate increased for the fourth consecutive month. In June, it increased by 1.7% to UAH 40.85.
