According to him, by 2023, the operational purchases of the group of companies will reach almost $400 million (UAH 16 billion), and cooperation will be carried out with almost 2,000 partners. It is not difficult to become a Metinvest counterparty – you just have to go through the qualification procedure.
“Almost all procurement lots are published on our website, we are open as much as possible, we have both spot and long-term pre-war contracts, we also have a five-year formula pricing contract,” said by Mishchenko.
He assured that the company is now the most tolerant of suppliers of all time, as it understands the challenges associated with war.
“We are ready to turn a blind eye to non-compliance with the terms of the contract: we will deal with the issue in accordance with the penalties provided in the contract, but will give the supplier the opportunity to continue working with us. If this happens systematically, we will not cooperate with such supplier for at least 12 months But there is a “red line” “What we cannot cross is corruption if we check it, we will never be qualified in related companies,” assured Mishchenko.
Let’s recall that in 2023, Metinvest transferred UAH 14.6 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine. The group remains one of the largest taxpayers in the state, despite the loss of several businesses in the east of the country and a significant reduction in the number of personnel due to the war.
Metinvest also talked about changing its priorities in Ukraine. The next decade was a period of change for the company.
