In the interbank market, the American currency exchange rate increased by 19 kopecks – to 40.67-40.69 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine significantly increased the exchange rates of the dollar and euro against the hryvnia. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Monday, July 1.
The official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 40.6413 (+0.1871 UAH). In turn, the euro rose more in price and cost 43.6853 UAH (+0.4195 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency rate increased by 19 kopecks to 40.67-40.69 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
At the same time, in the cash market the dollar exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks – up to 40.85 UAH.
Let’s recall that in June the NBU slightly reduced interventions to support the Hryvnia and sold $2.986 billion in the interbank market. This is 2.8% less than in May ($3.072 billion). Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold $14.170 billion.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the growth of the dollar. At the same time, the regulator ensures that the situation in the Ukrainian foreign exchange market remains under control.
