The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine increased to 40.85 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased to 44.00 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate fell slightly against the dollar and euro on the cash market at the beginning of the new month. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Monday, July 1.
So, the average dollar selling rate in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks to 40.85 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate also increased by 5 kopecks – 44.00 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 40.35 UAH, and euros for 43.30 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 40.53-40.55 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 5 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia on the first day of the new month – UAH 40.4542 (-0.0832 UAH). The euro exchange rate today is 43.2658 UAH (-0.0889 UAH).
At the end of June, the NBU slightly reduced interventions to support the Hryvnia and sold $2.986 billion in the interbank market. This is 2.8% less than in May ($3.072 billion). Since the beginning of the year, the NBU has sold $14.170 billion.
The official dollar exchange rate for June increased by 3 kopecks to 40.53 UAH/dollar. The exchange rate on the cash market decreased by 25 kopecks to 40.80 UAH/dollar.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the growth of the dollar. At the same time, the regulator ensures that the situation in the Ukrainian foreign exchange market remains under control.
