This week, the National Bank of Ukraine again reduced the volume of sales in the interbank foreign exchange market. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Sunday, June 30.
Thus, in five working days, the NBU sold $670.9 million in the interbank market, which is $51.9 million less than last week. The regulator also bought 490 thousand dollars, which is 260 thousand more than last week.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold $14.3 billion and bought just $116.6 million.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the growth of the dollar. At the same time, the regulator ensures that the situation in the Ukrainian foreign exchange market remains under control.
We remind you that the dollar ended June with a drop in exchange rates. Compared to the end of May, the cash dollar exchange rate decreased by 25 kopecks, and the euro exchange rate by 75 kopecks.
