The Burshtyn thermal power plant is irreversible;
The Burshtyn thermal power plant in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, which was badly damaged during Russia’s shelling, cannot be restored. This was stated by the head of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Administration Svetlana Onischuk on Friday, June 28.
According to him, the Russians attacked the thermal power plant more than 12 times.
“For a certain period of time, we have understood that the Burshtyn TPP cannot be restored; it has been badly destroyed,” said Onishchuk.
The official added that due to the destruction of the power plant, the city of Burshtyn could be left without heat and hot water in the winter. The city has already agreed on the allocation of six boiler houses for social facilities and population.
Let’s remember that in October 2022, two DTEK energy facilities were under enemy fire. One of the affected facilities is the Burshtyn thermal power plant.
Earlier in the month, during a massive Russian attack on Ukrainian territory, four missiles hit an open switchgear at the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant.
As reported, the city council of Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, allows apartment owners to install individual heating.
