Yulia Sviridenko expressed gratitude to Spain for its support and assistance to Ukraine – “from humanitarian to military.”
Ukraine now has access to €50 million in Spanish government recovery funds, as well as an additional €1 million grant to support Ukraine’s private sector resilience and €4.6 million for humanitarian demining. It was discussed at a meeting of the Mixed Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Spanish Commission on Economic and Industrial Cooperation, reports the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
“We are grateful to Spain for its unwavering support for Ukraine and assistance – from humanitarian to military. In particular, for the decision announced in May to allocate 1 billion euros in support of our defense capabilities. Spain is the energy sector, which remains one of the main targets of Russian attacks,” said Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, Ukraine’s Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.
Ukraine is grateful to Spain for the provision of generators and energy equipment, as well as their financial contribution to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine in the amount of more than 4.5 million euros, the official concluded.
Let’s remember that the conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Berlin (URC2024) expanded the number of dimensions of such restoration to four – business, European integration, communities and human capital.
