In the interbank market, the American currency rate decreased by 5 kopecks to 40.42-40.46 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine strengthened the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar on the last working day of the week. The price of the American currency fell for the sixth consecutive day, according to data on the regulator’s website on Friday, June 21.
The official exchange rate for Monday is set at UAH 40.4478. for 1 dollar (-0.0706 UAH). In turn, the euro fell further in price – 43.2347 UAH (-0.1929 UAH).
Today in the interbank market the dollar exchange rate decreased by 5 kopecks to 40.42-40.46 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the American currency also fell in price by 5 kopecks to UAH 40.85.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the increase in income of Ukrainians in 2024. Their main component – wages – is growing, mainly in the private sector.
And last week it became known that the NBU lowered the discount rate for the third time in a row. Such a step will contribute to a further revival of lending, which is important for economic recovery, assured the regulator.
