As a result of the attack by Russian aggressors on the night of June 20, one of the thermal power plants of DTEK was damaged. The company’s executive director Dmitry Sakharuk spoke about this on Public Broadcast on Thursday, June 20.

According to Sakharuk, three power engineers were injured in the attack, and the operation of the thermal power plant was suspended. He explained that this station had already been attacked by the enemy almost five times and the repairs had to be started again from scratch.
“There are not enough people, but we are looking for a solution to moving people from one station to another, adding employees of DTEK companies who do not work in stations outside the situation as much as possible in way to ensure the continuation of repair work,” – he said.
We remind you that on the night of June 20, the Russians launched a missile and drone attack on the energy sector of Ukraine. Most of the targets were shot down, but power facilities in four regions were damaged.
It was later learned that seven power engineers were injured, one of them in serious condition.
