The hryvnia exchange rate is growing against the dollar in exchange offices for the second day in a row. The American currency fell below the psychological line, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing market monitoring data on Wednesday, June 19.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine decreased by another 5 kopecks to 40.95 Hryvnia, while the euro exchange rate remained stable at 44.25 Hryvnia.

Meanwhile, the National Bank reduced the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate for the third day in a row at the level of UAH 40.5493 (-0.0992 UAH). The euro exchange rate today is 43.4486 UAH (-0.0880 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank explained the reasons for the sharp increase in the dollar exchange rate in May. According to the regulator, demand for foreign currency jumped 41% last month.
And last week it became known that the NBU lowered the discount rate for the third time in a row. Such a step will contribute to a further revival of lending, which is important for economic recovery, assured the regulator.
