The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine remained at UAH 41.10, while the euro exchange rate fell to UAH 44.30.
The hryvnia exchange rate stabilized against the dollar and strengthened against the euro at exchange offices. It was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to market tracking data as of Monday, June 17.
So, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine did not change – 41.10 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate fell by 20 kopecks, to 44.30 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 40.60 UAH, and euros for 43.60 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 40.65-40.70 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Last Friday, the National Bank reduced the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate after a historic high of UAH 40.649 (-0.0418 UAH). The euro exchange rate today is 43.4782 UAH (-0.4068 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank explained the reasons for the sharp increase in the dollar exchange rate in May. According to the regulator, demand for foreign currency jumped 41% last month.
And last week it became known that the NBU lowered the discount rate for the third time in a row. Such a step will contribute to a further revival of lending, which is important for economic recovery, assured the regulator.
