The average dollar selling rate in Ukraine remained at UAH 40.90, while the euro exchange rate dropped to UAH 44.30.
On Wednesday, the hryvnia exchange rate remained stable against the dollar in the cash market and strengthened against the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on June 12.
Today, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine has not changed – 40.90 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate has decreased by 5 kopecks, up to 44.30 Hryvnia.
Exchange offices bought dollars on average for 40.40 UAH, and euros for 43.50 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 40.51-40.55 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 9 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
In turn, the National Bank yesterday increased the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate for the fourth day in a row – at the level of UAH 40.5178 (+0.0932 UAH). The euro exchange rate today is 43.4594 UAH (-0.0132 UAH).
Earlier it became known that in May, Ukrainians bought a record amount of money. The currency’s buying volume exceeded its selling volume by $1.04 billion.
The National Bank explained the reasons for the sharp increase in the dollar exchange rate in May. According to the regulator, demand for foreign currency jumped 41% last month.
