The famous American TV presenter Oprah Winfrey was hospitalized due to stomach problems. The Daily Mail reported this.
According to her friend, TV star Gayle King, she was hospitalized due to dehydration. Doctors put him on an IV.
“He had a stomach ache, stomach flu. He was vomiting and had diarrhea. I won’t reveal too much, but he was dehydrated in the hospital. He was put on an IV because it was so serious,” he said.
Oprah Winfrey’s friend also did not say how she feels now. King only emphasized that everything will be fine with the presenter and added that he hoped the star would not be angry with him.
“I hope she’s not mad at me for sharing that detail. But I wanted to make it clear that it mattered to her and that it really bothered her that she couldn’t be here with us today,” Gail added.
Oprah was scheduled to appear on the morning show on June 11 to talk about her latest book club selection, but was forced to delegate the task to a friend.
It was previously reported that British singer Elton John was hospitalized.
