The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine rose to 40.90 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate fell to 44.35 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to decline against the dollar at exchange offices, but has strengthened slightly against the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Tuesday, June 11.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by another 10 kopecks – to 40.90 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate fell by 5 kopecks – to 44.35 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 40.40 UAH, and euros for 43.55 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is now at the level of 40.49-40.52 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 3 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank increased the dollar exchange rate against the Hryvnia for the third day in a row – to the level of UAH 40.4246 (+0.1761 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 43.4726 UAH (-0.3983 UAH).
Earlier it became known that in May, Ukrainians bought a record amount of money. The currency’s buying volume exceeded its sales volumes by $1.04 billion.
In this regard, the National Bank explained the reasons for the sharp increase in the dollar exchange rate in May. According to the regulator, demand for foreign currency jumped 41% last month.
